Do WORK Warrior Projects

Salon de Isis

This was a project were we really did build a Hair Salon! I was contacted by an Elder of a church and I was told of a single Mother of 4 beautiful children and how she wanted to move her established Hair Salon to her house. This way she could be there for the needs of her Children. Isis has two boys that are severely handy capped, and they require special attention. She had paid a local carpenter to come out and start the work, but soon realized that it was just too much for him to handle, and there was no way she could finish it. When we arrived for a pre-inspection we could tell that the work that was done was sub-standard, and it even gave us a concern for the safety for Isis and her family.

Strangely enough, we just so happened to have an All Men’s group coming from Horizon Community Church, Galt, CA. It only seemed fitting to have them work on this project due to the level of skill they had with them. With in 4 days the old structure had come down and the new structure was built, and 90% of the sheet rock was done. Isis along with her home Church here in Ensenada finished up the details and today Isis is operating her Salon at a place where can care for her children.

After close inspection it was clear that some demo work was going to be needed. That small section of block wall needed to also come down after discovering there was no Re-Bar in it.

Solid construction, new materials, many hands, and servant hearts made it happen. There was even the construction of a concrete ramp.

The week ended with much still left to do, but Isis vision was true and her heart was determined to follow in God’s footsteps. Upon our follow up Isis is now working out of her new salon, the her two daughters have there new Study room, and she is able to better meet the needs of her two sons.

Casa Esperanza

This is a battered womens shelter that was originally started in a humble 2 story home and at times the Directors feed and took care of up to 50 women and children. After the purchase of land there was clear direction from the Lord that work was to begin. In 2003 Real Life Ministries teamed up with Cornerstone Church of Wildomar and started on a 4 year commitment to build one of the main buildings that today facilitates the Directors office, Directors housing, Kitchen, dining room, and even a Nursery. Follow along with the Video below to see how it all came together
